Regular health checks

Annual health checks are available for all patients aged over 75 years. We suggest that all patients who have not seen a doctor or nurse for at least three years should have a routine check up with the practice nurse.

Diabetic clinics

These are held every month. Diabetic patients are offered appointments for an annual review with either the nurse or the doctor. Currently every 12 months you will be sent an appointment to have the back of your eyes photographed to ensure you are not developing significant diabetic eye changes.

Foreign travel

Injections for travel abroad are available from the practice nurse. Vaccination for diphtheria, tetanus, polio, and hepatitis A is free. There is a charge for yellow fever, rabies, Japanese encephalitis and hepatitis B.

When you book your holidays to a foreign country, please make sure that you allow as long as possible, and as a minimum 4 - 6 weeks, before hand to complete any vaccinations that you may require for that country (or countries).

All patients wanting information will need to complete a patient information form first, which can be collected from the surgery or can be accessed on this page.

Once completed, this form should be returned to the practice, where it will be assessed by a nurse. This will mean that they can prepare for your first travel advice clinic appointment. The sooner you can get your form back to us, the more time that the nurse has to prepare for your appointment.

Download the travel patient information form.
